Viessman Vitotronic 150 code d1

Hi Folks,

I have a Viessmann oil boiler model Vitotronic 150, it is located in the basement and is more than 5 years old (out of warranty). Oil has finished about 3 weeks ago and we had our tank refilled, happy that we are all covered for the winter. Unfortunately since then boiler shut downs displaying message d1? Anyone an idea what is wrong and how to fix it?

When you are re-filling your tank you should let the sludge settle for a day or two- meaning not using the boiler during this time. I assume it didn’t happen here, right? So sludge from the bottom of the tank got stirred by the new oil and then got straight into the filter, that got stacked causing d1 error What I now see as a solution is simple filter exchange, less than an hour job, not much cost versus boiler specialist or the filter itself.

 

 

Viessmann 100 luke water

Hi Folks

I have a Viessmann boiler model 100W. It is not under warranty anymore and we are experiencing no hot and pure luke water in 3 of total 5 taps in the house. I went to the boiler to check what is wrong and saw that the pressure when taps are open is below 1 bar, is that the source of my luke water? If yes, any idea how to re-pressurize the system?

Hi Adam

Could you please check if the pressure needle move when you open each tap (do it separately). And check if each time you can hear the water coming in. If you would have luke water in all 5 taps I would say that it is a system issue and you need re-filling, but because only some taps are not providing hot water I think it is a pipework issue, so unless you are a piping expert you would want to call someone to check/repair your system. 

Viessmann Vitoplex 200 no ignition

Hi Folks,

We have installed in our building of flats Viessmann Vitoplex model 200 and we have a re-occurring issue with flame going down. every 2 weeks or so. It is less than 2 years old, we we really don’t know what is causing the issue. Looks like system is shutting itself down. Heating season is approaching and we are worried. We has some service guys coming and going, but no one seems to know what is wrong. Viessmann is to expensive to have a continuous- non resolvable issue like this. Anyone experienced a similar issue?

Hi Tim,

If your Vitoplex is less than 2 years old simply request a replacement, and request it prior heating season starts. I don’t know how complex is your heating system, but if you are lucky it will be a day to replace, no more headache. Not worth to wait for the system to run out of the warranty. And when guys hear that you want replacement they will surely send you best expert to work on existing solution

Viessmann Vitodens 200W fault 14

Hi

I have a Viessmann boiler model Vitodens 200 and we are experiencing a fault 14 once a week, for last 6 weeks weeks. Our boiler is already 5 years old and no warranty avialable. Each time we restart the boiler ad it starts to work normally, but I am a bit worried that one day restarting won’t help. Any idea how to fix it?

Hi Dan

Fault 14 is a burner fault. In other words whenever there is no flame signal your burner switches the boiler to lockout, when you restart you ignite the boiler- there is a flame- everything is fine…. for a while at last. What needs to happen not to have this problem coming back is verify all electrical connection (that provide and sustain the spark), verify minimal gas pressure, check and replace if needed: ignition electrodes, transformer, burner

 

Viessmann Vitoden 100W no igniton

Hi All

I have a Viessmann Vitoden 100W gas boiler. It is 4 years old and I had never experienced any issue with it, at last till today. I woke up and realized that there is no hot water, went to the room where boiler is located and found out that there is no ignition. No message displayed. How should I re-ignite the boiler and what might have been an issue?

Hi Jack,

If your boiler is 4 years old I assume that it is still under warranty, Vitodens usually come with 5, 7 or now 10 years guarantee. Because error message is not displayed I would either call a Viessmann technical line or simple report an issue and ask for a service guy. You could try to ignite it yourself, but service under warranty is free of charge so why to risk?

 

 

Viessmann Vitodens 100 radiators not hot enough

Hi Guys

I have a Viessmann boiler model Vitodens 100, it is only few months old and now heating season has started. My issue is that radiators are warm, but not warm enough (don’t reach 50 degrees). I had one company installing the boiler and the other installing the radiators. What happens that each of them says it is not their but the other’s fault. Hrrr… I thought I give it a try and ask here, maybe solution is easy.

Hi Joe,

Honestly, if everything works fine, then the temperature adjustment is just a small set up fault. But because there are two things that needs set up here (reset and then new set up) hot water and central heating I would call Viessmann technical line and ask for a help with it. They are very good and should be able to help you in less than 20 min. Really worth giving a try
